Camp: Stryker Sports Camps
Info: Stryker Sports Volleyball and Basketball Camps focus on developing players’ game skills as well as fostering their personal growth as team players. Kids from Grades 1-10 will be led by an experienced coaching staff while playing with other kids at their age level. Register for full days or half days (mornings or afternoons) and get ready for a striking change in your child’s game.

Camp: University of Calgary – Dinos Sports Camps
Info: At the University of Calgary kids can learn new skills and improve old ones in a range of sports including football, soccer, hockey, volleyball, track and field, basketball, and swimming. Coaches include current and former U of C players and coaches. Carefully tailored to fit with each child’s age and ability, every camp has the goal of setting out a fun and safe environment for kids to learn and play.

Camp: WinSport Summer Camps
Info: This amazingly unique camp offers programs in hockey, ringette, mountain biking, and sport and adventure. WinSport camps truly get your kids moving. Kids can choose camps which include ziplining, gymnastics, hiking, canoeing, mini golf, luge, and ski jumping. Half day and full day camps are offered for kids from 4 to 14.

Camp: Talisman Centre Summer Sports Camps
Info: Kids from 4 to 17 can take part in multi-sport or sport-specific camps in half-day or full-day sessions. Kids registered in multi-sport camps will participate in a variety of co-operative games and structured activities such as swimming and yoga. Sport-specific camps include water polo, badminton, swimming, and rhythmic gymnastics. New sports introduced this year include fencing and triathlon. Pre- and post-camp care are complimentary. Camp: Mount Royal University Kids Summer Camps
Info: At MRU, kids from 5 to 9 can participate in a multi-sports camp in which they can play baseball, tennis, and soccer … and rock climb. Kids from 9 to 14 can choose multi-sport camps, outdoor adventure camps, or golf. Pre- and post-care are complimentary.

Camp: AIM HIGH Youth Football Camps
Info: Offering 30 hours of fundamental and progressive football training, your kids aged 10-14 will learn it all in a camp that prides itself on competitive fun. All equipment will be provided, and kids will be encouraged through positive reinforcement and a focus on good sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork.

Camp: Camp Warwa
Info: Camp Warwa, accredited by the Alberta Camping Association, is located on Lac St. Anne, 80 kms west of Edmonton. Camps offer a broad range of activities appropriate to each age level including a climbing wall, archery, kayaking, ziplining, crafts, drama, and more. Campers range in age from those entering Grade 1 in September to leadership and other programs for those entering Grade 11.

Camp: Basketball Camp at Kings University College
Info: If your child is looking to improve their shooting, passing, defense, offense and overall basketball understanding and skill level, Kings University College has a fantastic overnight basketball program for them. The program focuses not just on skills but on self-confidence development too.

Info: At various locations around Edmonton, kids are provided with non-competitive sports instruction while building confidence and self-esteem and learning the value of team work. Camp: YMCA Day Camps
Info: YMCA Day Camps offer children and youth the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging activities. Camps are designed to spark their imagination, as well as build confidence, independence and communication skills. Activities for kids 3 to 16 include swimming, cycling, dancing, learning circus skills, and going on scavenger hunts. There are various locations throughout the city.

Info: With full and half day programs available, the RCS camp is run in six convenient locations in Edmonton. Kids from 5 to 13 learn and develop soccer skills and team building and participate in swimming and other camp games.

Info: With the goal of having kids exploring, engaging and ultimately excelling in sports, the U of A gives kids the opportunity to have fun while participating in a variety of sports. Info: Camp Kannanaq offers kids 7 to 12 an exciting summer camp experience that focuses on fun, adventure, learning, and creativity in a safe and cooperative environment. Info: At the Mini U Camps, your kids can stay on-campus and experience a range of fun and diverse programs such as multisport, gymnastics, track and field, basketball, flag football, dance, judo, hockey, ringette, etc, etc, all provided in the University’s top notch facilities. Mini U camps also take kids off-campus for outdoor adventures, golf, and xtreme adventures.

Info: Has your child ever wanted to run away and join the circus? This summer they can work on their acrobatic skills as well as other dance and performance skills at Monica’s Danz Gym. Info: The City of St. John’s will be running a variety of summer camps for children ages 6 to 12 and youth programs up to age 18 years. Info: Get your kids into the beautiful outdoors of Newfoundland. At the Fluvarium your kids will enjoy swimming, hiking, fishing, and learning about the wilderness. Enrol your kids for Discovery Camp for children who have just completed Grades 1-3 (ages 6-9) and Adventure Camp for children who have just completed Grades 3-5 (ages 9-11). Info: Techniplex Summer Camp is a sport camp where all campers from 6 to 14 can learn new sport skills in a non-competitive environment. Info: Watch your child’s physical and social confidence bloom this summer at at The Little Gym. Camps are an action-packed-themed three hours of fun for children ages 3-8 years old. Available times are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9-12, and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1-4. Families can schedule as many days or weeks as fit their schedule over the course of the summer. A snack will be provided for each camper and each child who comes to camp during the first week receives a Super Kid cape.

Ontario
Campers in Ontario have so many great choices. The Ontario Camping Association (OCA) takes care of a lot of research for you. Member camps must adhere to the highest standards of safety, supervision, and quality programming. All OCA camps must comply with all relevant provincial and federal government legislation and often go beyond these standards. Guidelines cover all aspects of camp including site, facility, health and safety, food service, water quality, program, transportation, management, and staff hiring and training. The OCA continually reviews and revises their standards and camps are visited for re-accreditation on a regular basis. See the OCA site for their list of accredited camps.
