Celebrate Confederation in Canada’s national parks and historic sites … free of charge!
The year 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation (happy birthday, eh!) and to celebrate, Parks Canada is inviting everyone to explore national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas for free, for the entire year. It’s kind of like Canada throwing a party for itself, and we’re completely cool with that.
Party favours include special red chair locations to relax and unwind, and the Xplorers Program for children who love to discover. While other experiences and services remain at regular cost, family fun has never been so accessible … and beautiful.
This 365-day adventure begins January 1st, and there are more than 200 special places across the country to visit. Where will you begin?
