AfL Role Model Sekou Kaba inspires action
Sekou Kaba is a 2016 Olympian (his event: 110-metre hurdles) and motivational speaker who inspires students around the country.
When he arrived in the United States from Conakry, Guinea at the age of 10, Sekou didn’t speak any English. But he overcame that hurdle and participated in track and field, wrestling, basketball, and football as a student.
Now living in Ottawa, Sekou competes for Team Canada. Children everywhere will be in awe of what he can do physically and mentally, not to mention his intense will and positive attitude.
Hurdling is a discipline of athletics that requires incredible physical literacy and skills such as agility, coordination, balance, speed, running, jumping, and more.
Get to know Sekou better and help us welcome him to the #AfLfamily.
